Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using MATRYX ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service & Accounts

MATRYX provides campaign tracking, collaborative worldbuilding databases, and interactive cartography tools for tabletop roleplaying games. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain all rights and ownership of any campaign notes, lore, world data, documents, and map imagery that you upload or create on MATRYX. By uploading content, you grant MATRYX a worldwide, non-exclusive license solely to host, store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to operate the platform for you and your invited players.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellations

• Subscription Tiers: Certain advanced features (including higher universe caps, interactive map pin layers, and extended storage) require an active paid subscription (Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master).
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the in-app Stripe Customer Portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to tier features until the conclusion of your current billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use & Conduct

You agree not to misuse the platform, reverse-engineer proprietary code, distribute malicious software, attempt unauthorized access to other users' compartmentalized data, or upload unlawful content violating third-party copyrights.

6. Limitation of Liability

MATRYX is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the loss of campaign data, service interruptions, or unauthorized access.
